Correct me if I’m wrong, but I think the first-gen Colorado actually pioneered a prominent design feature that didn’t reach the mainstream until around ten years after its introduction: the DRLs and indicators are up at the top where “normal” headlights would go, while the actual headlights are positioned lower with a break in between. This can be seen in the Juke, pre-facelift Cherokee, the new Soul, and a few other cars and SUVs. The ‘Rado did it much more subtly, but still.
Yes, I'm aware that most Chevy trucks were and are like this, but I think the Colorado does it most closely to the cars of today.
