Knock on wood, I guess, because I haven’t actually been accepted yet.... but I just finished my application to the local technical school for a drafter’s assistant certificate. It’s a single-semester thing, so I should be able to do it all this summer (even if it ends up being online only). What is this certificate, you ask? Honestly.... I’m not entirely sure what it entails, but it gives me proof of my experience with AutoCAD and pushes me way further toward the front of the line for pretty much any entry-level drafting job. Hopefully, I’ll be able to have my first actual office job no later than this time next year. Which means I can finally sell the Colorado for something more exciting! I know I’m getting ahead of myself here, but I’ve always wanted an AW11 MR2, and since the ‘Rado has a blue book value of like $4-5k (thanks for never fully depreciating, trucks!), that’s not at all out of the question.
I’m just very excited.
