Can any of you reprobates think of a reason that a Mustang 289 H-pipe wouldn’t fit a 289 Galaxie? I think it would hinge on whether the small case Cruise-O-Matic is bigger than any gearbox available in V8 Mustangs. Which seems... unlikely.
The big reasons are that Galaxie whole exhaust packages that are available are (a) heinously expensive, (b) not actually configured as stock(!), (c) give no option for preferred mufflers, (d) not readily available in dual for smallblock anyway, and (e) Mustang H-pipes are hella cheap, and if I buy one and two mufflers, I only have to get the overaxle pipes bent up. Less overall than a whole exhaust package, most likely, and what I actually want - and more like stock!
