We decided that it was high time to address our north facing wall. This is actually our sons bedroom. We knew it had gaps in the weatherboards but this is a bit ridiculous.
That pile of kindling inside our wall is an old rat’s nest... complete with very old rat. And a half a pound of steel wool. The previous owner used the steel wool as a gap sealer...I will leave the ludicrousness of that for others to consider. Suffice to say that if we had been subjected to an ember attack during the recent bushfire...we’d have been beyond toasty.
At least I know I have things to do this week!
