You have to start with good foundations. These are each made of two pieces of 3/8" copper pipe opened up, flattened out and then one was drilled for the 1/2" leg and then flanged to give the brazing something to grip to. The other one was brazed on afterwards...Photo: Who’s A Pretty Boy...

Next trick is to attach you feet to your handle. Two rookie errors here. First is that I cleaned up the feet. Second is that my template is 8mm plywood. Brazing involves heat so not only did the feet get cooked but there was also some smoke and fire associated with the template...Photo: Poke Me. Prod Me. Burn Me. Shock Me.
With enough heat...and the torch I had was at its limit... attachment is attainable. Pretty attachment? No. For pretty, one needs files and grinders and sanders if one does not have enough heat.Photo: Touch me. Stroke Me. Beguile Me. Poke Me.

To close in the ends of the pipe...I used some really not very carefully stripped single core electrical wire which was curled around itself and nearly melted before being soaked in molten Silspec and suddenly it does what you want.
