Parts cannon was fired today. And all the ammo landed perfectly.
New front rotors to replace the OE rotors that survived 305,000 kilometres and new pads to replace the original replacements. Unfortunately, DBA Kangaroo Paw rotors are not cheap (AU$109 each) and, more explicitly, neither is the Bendix HD pad set (AU$175!)... hopefully they outlast the Transporter?
The OE discs were a bit lippy...
Also took the opportunity to finally fit new rotor protection plates...the old ones are in the centre of the new one (they cracked off years ago).
Fresh.
Rotated the tyres front to back due to AWD wear and bodged (again) the rear pad indicator (the pad side plug was destroyed by a rock a few years ago).
And... finally, I cocked the parts cannon again. Because I found that the rear bush in the offside lower control arm is the source of the clunking in the suspension. So a new control arm is inbound... another AU$250 [sigh]. Plus the shop fitting this time...
