Oppo, help me figure out this noise?

So my girlfriend told me her SX4 is making a noise. I drove it last night and sure enough it is. Though I’m not really sure what to make of it.

It’s a rhythmic thumping sound coming from the left front wheel area. Sort of sounds like a warped brake rotor, and I feel a little bit of pulsation in the pedal when I get on the brakes hard.

But... the sound continues when I’m not braking. If it was a rotor, would it not stop making noise when the brakes aren’t being used?
