Big shoutout to benjrblant for reminding me that Union Pacific 4014, the only Big Boy left running and the largest locomotive in the world, working or otherwise, would be rolling past my house this afternoon. It was incredible to see this monster of a machine in motion. Here she is:
Please excuse the poorly-timed blurriness. I probably won’t go down and see it while it’s parked briefly given that, of the seven other Big Boys left, one of them is on permanent display at a free park here in Omaha.
