Made a rudimentary skid plate thing, Also cleaned and resealed the sump, the rear main seal plate/seal, and oil pan. Both had caked on oil that was potentially older than I am.(and since theres no more preview I will fill the entire headline space with all the words until kinja breaks or my patience does)

It’s not the cleanest since I whipped it up over the course of 2 hours with mostly an angle grinder and a hammer. The main purpose is to mitigate damage to the oilpan, the pan had a couple dents that were nearly punctures and I’m a tad paranoid since the cars lowered. The plate is fairly thin but my thoughts were that it should spread the load better during a hit with the steel band,”frame” behind it. The 4 tabs and 2 forward facing bands contact the oilpan directly, the rest is about a quarter inch of open space.

Secondly it is much flatter.
