It’s not the cleanest since I whipped it up over the course of 2 hours with mostly an angle grinder and a hammer. The main purpose is to mitigate damage to the oilpan, the pan had a couple dents that were nearly punctures and I’m a tad paranoid since the cars lowered. The plate is fairly thin but my thoughts were that it should spread the load better during a hit with the steel band,”frame” behind it. The 4 tabs and 2 forward facing bands contact the oilpan directly, the rest is about a quarter inch of open space.
