My bimmer did a thing!

lots of miles and no warning lights! How?

It turned all 2's for a minute today! Wish I’d had the forethought to reset the trip at 222,000 so it would’ve been all 2's across the top, but then I’d have had to drive straight up to northern Canadia or somewhere it’s 22 degrees out.

Also notable is the complete absence of any warning lights... an ominous sign. Not long after this incident the right front directional headlamp wire that had been barely hanging on for ages decided to sever itself meaning it now no longer works with the switch in ‘on’ instead of ‘auto’ like it had for most of last year.

I also spotted a nice 427 cobra (or more likely a replica), sorry for the potato pic:

Now it’s off to see if I can replace that little wiring harness inside the headlamp assembly, or if that fails, learn how to solder again. I don’t see plan B working out well though :(
