Been absent-mindedly toying with the idea of a second car for commuting to keep miles off my GTI. Considering that my work has EV chargers, and EV/PHEV depreciation is quite steep...plus I love the interior, consensus is that it’s really fun to drive, and according to Consumer Reports the reliability is actually quite good, I’m finding one of these pretty appealing. On the other hand, it’s not really something I can rationally justify, it would just be cool to have. If I really want to get a second car, financially speaking, I’d be better off going sub-$10k and getting a beater. Meh
