Well, there it is. My engine is officially Pontiac Blue.
I’m reallt happy with how it came out, it was absolutely worth cleaning it up and doing it. Plus I only used about 2/3 of a can of primer and paint each, so I can return the full cans tomorrow.

Next up is installing the oil pump and buttoning up the oil pan for good. I think that’s likely what happens tomorrow, so that’s exciting.
