The weather here has been absolutely perfect the last three weeks. All sun and no warmer than 66 degrees Freedom Units. But we’ve been living on borrowed time. PNW autumn will soon begin for reals.

Hey! Something on topic: I finally hauled away the 725 lbs of Holly, rhododendron, and lilac branches piles 11 feet high in my backyard. Rhododendron cuts are evil because they’re twisty, large, and light so they take up a lot of space. This first load was somehow only 260 lbs even after cutting tons of stuff into smaller bits and packing it as tight as I could.

And also: I got 24.1 miles per gallon on my last tank. That’s the best I’ve seen since... 2013 o_O
