Rock salt has been sold out in all stores in the area for the last week, so I got some “water softening pellets,” which are sure fun to attempt to breakup. Then I read all the environmental impacts salting has, plus the corrosion it can do to pavement, etc. Now I’m getting cold feet. So I spread a little kosher salt on my slick steps and kind of just gave up. I’ll just shovel and break up ice like I did last time.
Already snowing pretty good. Oh well.
