... But I renewed the registration for the longboi today. Every February, I keep thinking it will be the last.

There are numerous items that don’t work, and pretty much haven’t since I bought it. I gave up on cosmetic improvements about five years ago, and have now basically given up on anything else. I just keep up on the brakes, tires, oil, and lights. With the new master cylinder and fluid, she’s got the kung-fu GRIP.

The engine is wheezy and sounds like it has bronchitis, but it always starts. Always runs. Always makes it to wherever I point it. However, I have this feeling we are close to our last hurrah together. She’s been speaking to me for a little over two years now. The cab, engine, and suspension all sigh in resignation during our previously-usual tasks and errands. She’s getting tired...

Not to get even more sentimental but... I feel like this one of the last pieces of the "old" me left in the world. When life was simpler. When I was younger. This will be tough to let go.
