It's nice to have good neighbors.

I was cutting back the jungle on the east side of my property. My neighbor saw me and enthusiastically kept offering to help. After my usual nono I appreciate it but —

“I can pull those roots up with my truck.”

“YES.”

So he used is ‘04 Tacoma Limited and ripped up three lilac clusters and a massive rhododendron. The rhodi was of course so massive, we couldn’t move it — even with all branches cut down to the base — so I had to chop it apart with an axe for an hour or so, the rolls the remains to my brush pile.

I agreed to haul away some stuff for him to show my gratitude. And I’m also waking up early tomorrow to help him remove six old bushes planted much too close to his foundation.

But a vast improvement over my previous neighbor situation.
