Stupid car update, perhaps somewhat personal.

The car itself not being stupid (maybe), but the update itself is:

I renewed the registration on our dubious Corolla hatchback. It’s noteworthy because renewing tabs in the denser counties of Washington State (King, Snoho, Pierce, etc.) is not cheap, so it’s something of a commitment, I feel.

After all the trouble, the car has since been running great and actually even better than when I bought it — full credit to my parts cannon. I’m not sure how close I was to getting rid of it during the trouble, but it had crossed my mind to consider parting ways with it once I got it working again. But it’s just so cheap and easy to work on, I stuck with the devil I knew.

And since my wife is unemployed as of 5pm yesterday, I’m really sighing in relief that I didn’t throw up my arms and just replace the car with something nicer — and by nicer, we also mean much more expensive as her car has very little trade-in value to boot.

The good news is she already has two job offers. We’ll be fine.
