Get my car back, start it up. Airbag light is on. Walk back to the service department.
“Hey, my airbag light is on now.”
“Well was it on before?” he asks with a twang of sass.
“Nnnnnnope!” as I smile through my mask, bottling in my annoyance.
“Oh okay, sometimes that happens, he just needs to reset it, should be five minutes.”

[Update]
Manager just came out.
“Exciting day!”
“Oh?”
“The new airbag is defective and we don’t have any others. And the other dealers won’t part with theirs since they are ordered from their customers who are already scheduled.”
“Ah.”
“So weeeee have to order a new one...”
“Alrighty.”
So they’re putting back in the old one that WON’T deploy at all versus the new-new one that may deploy incorrectly as it is defective.
Weeeeee-heeeee-heeeeee yeah!
