We took a 5 day weekend and spent it at my in law’s lake house. So I have driven more boat than car in the last 5 days and I can’t shake that “I’m still on a boat” feeling! Especially when I go to pee.
Anyway the weather was perfect, their house is right on the water, and Saturday afternoon I was out on the deck with my one year old daughter. She walked on over to me, arms out stretched and when I gave her my hand she started to dance. So we danced a little, then she raised her arms to be picked up. So I scooped her up and we continued dancing. Otis Redding’s “I’ve Got Dreams to Remember” was playing on the speaker on the windowsill. All of the sudden I felt 30 years older, I could see my current self dancing with my daughter. I felt what I think it might feel like to remember such a time when I’m 64 and she is 31.
It really fucked me all up. I was ecstatic and crushed all at the same time. It felt good to have that experience, but bad to feel those heavy emotions. Kids are fucking crazy man.
I dropped the Alltrack off for tint this morning. I went with Xpel Prime XR Plus 20% all the way around. I can’t wait to get it back already. Happy Monday/Wednesday.
