Reddit’s Just Rolled into the Shop is a veritable cornucopia of the many wonders and oddities of shop lyfe. You never know what’s gonna roll in. Here’s what caught my eye this week.

I’ve since left that shop. The axle in the video was removed by using an air hammer to widen the hole, on a main load-bearing wall nonetheless. Had to do this anytime a long wheel base dually came in.
One of many grievances with that shops equipment. Life’s much better now
Tech caught it himself. Already had it drained all the ATF when I saw it. He was pretty mad at himself but also at how badly labeled the jugs were.
Welcome to my nightmares
So apparently, hes been having trouble getting the shifter into park. The only thing sticking above water was the tips of the hay spears

And they refused to get another one for my customer, so I had to end up re-doing the harness for the transmission. Thankfully it was only about 8 wires.

Let this serve as a friendly reminder to remember that one thing you forgot.
Running and driving. Bolts hadn’t backed out far enough to hit block yet. Converter mounting pads “machined” the backside like this and they’re pretty much rounded off at the ends too. I’m guessing the noise it was making didn’t just start. Replacing everything. On a PT Cruiser.
