We are replacing both. The customer agreed with us that it was a good preemptive measure.

Part of the problem was that the high pressure fuel pump roller was never transfered over to the “new” head. Also, the exhaust cam actuator was stuck retarded. That’s why I pulled the camshaft cover.

What’s even more sad is he paid the guy 1600 hundred dollars to hack and smash his car together. None of the wire looms are put back, missing bolts, brackets not properly secured. Then i’ll be the bad guy because I have to charge him my time to fix everything.

Driver called dispatch and said he heard a loud sound coming from the rear of the truck and that it felt like he was dragging something.

Dispatch told him to check tires and etc and if all is good keep on driving. Made it another mile or so then pulled over and called the shop. We sent a hook to go get him. This is what showed up... Lol

Older gentleman (mid 70’s) came in for an oil change today. He had single rose with him and I asked who was the lucky lady. “I was the lucky one, I’m headed to her gravesite after this to let her know I still love her.” I had to walk away after just nodding. Sometimes customers will break your heart.

Truck towed in for a no start, it would start for a few seconds and stall out. I can’t say I have ever seen one this icy before.

Backstory: we had a tree blow over on the car in a storm. Wrap guarded the broken rear window and damage pending the adjuster. He showed up removed the wrap and took pictures. Never told anyone he was there and did this. Manager got the paperwork a week later and forgot about it letting the car fill with water from another storm. Then a cold snap rolled in. Took 4 days to thaw the car. Gas pedal to rear seat and spare tire well was filled solid with ice. Oh and yes they sold this car at auction with 16 miles on it.
