I always have my eyes peeled when I pass the local Japanese import shop. They seem to specialize in tuning JDM imports but I really don’t know much about them. This time, this very purple Nissan Silvia was out front. It was hard to see through the tint but it was definitely manual. And RHD but that goes without saying.
Turns out the S15 Silvia is in fact illegal since it debuted only 21 years ago, so I went ahead and blurred the plate as a courtesy.
I thought these shots turned out pretty good. The sun was a bit high in the sky for good camera phone pictures but the old Confederate Cemetery in the background really made the look.
And across the street?
Not guilty.
As I got back in my dad’s truck (the Cruze has had a dead battery for over two weeks but no one is going anywhere), I saw a young guy with a mullet get in the Silvia just in time not to see my unsolicited photography.
Nice land cruiser behind it too.
And the back of the shop? I hadn’t noticed it before but this “Kuto Works” has a great back lot.
I don’t recognize much besides the Honda S2000. Know any of these? JDM tuner culture is just not exactly my thing and I’m not even certain any of these are imported.
There was a two door Nissan Skyline off to the right just hidden by the fence from this angle.
Oh, you want to see the more mundane stuff? Here you go:
Dodge Ramcharger
One of the last Saabs
Chevrolet pickup
Vinyl roofed Avalon, as if we needed more proof of its demographic. Great cars but this just looks bad, especially with that boring silvery blue.
