This fine, handy dandy lever that is quite useful for parking on hills has decided it is not going to function anymore.
I had the parking brake on, but I did a dumb and backed up with it set. Only when I realized the lever was still up and my brakes weren’t even making a peep did I realize I had a problem.
It ratchets just fine, the car detects the parking brake is on, and the cable moves just fine... but the rear brakes do absolutely nothing at all. Testing on a light incline with the car set to neutral confirms my suspicions.
Maybe that explains why the last time I did my pads and rotors the rear brakes looked completely untouched.
Further investigation is required. Any Oppos here experienced with late 90s Legacies that might have an idea where the problem lies?
