I didn’t post this at the time as I wanted to make sure all involved made it out okay first (they did), so: Hey look what we found on Old Ore Road in Big Bend! And upright no less!
This unimog camper... thing... tipped over onto its side when the driver made an error, resulting in the road being completely blocked for 21 days. The day before the government shut down it was finally righted and moved off the road, once again making Old Ore Road passable.
Honestly it didn’t look to be too worse for the wear, at least externally. The windshield is toast, the spare holder is a little bent, and it was apparently leaking fluids but not in any great volume. Looks very fixable.
We all make mistakes. Sometimes we make really big ones. Glad everyone is OK.
