Pulled my old skids off tonight and 3 bolts sheared off in the frame. Tomorrow is gonna be a long day drilling those out. I might need to drop the driveshaft to get at one...
But it gets better! A 4th bolt is stuck and rounded off. It was holding the fuel tank skid in place, but since the stock skid is so soft and rusty, I literally broke the skid off around the bolt using a hammer and a few big words.
All this because tomorrow I get my new skids, and in theory install them. Because if I don’t install them, I’ll have to cancel my outing on Saturday.
