Camping and the kit

Went out to the Cleveland National Forest east of San Diego this past weekend. We were going to do some exploring on the trails, but we ended up just staying at camp. One reason was that my son was having way too much fun climbing the rocks at our campsite and exploring on foot. Another is that several friends decided they wanted to come over from San Diego to hang out with us for the day.

We used our new Luminoodle led strip lights with the awning and they were perfect! We are running them off a a 10,000 mAhr solar power cell. Though I could run them off the Flexopower if I got some USB extension cables. I also got a Lensun 100 watt folding solar panel. I made two 25’ Anderson powerpole cables to give some flexibility on panel placement and that turned out to be a great idea. The excess length really helped optimize location and angle. This combo topped off the Flexopower and kept it full all day while running the fridge and keeping a few other things charged.

The GO, as usual, drew some attention. But the new Batwing awning was hit with my friends this weekend. My wife is loving the set up too. The fridge is a game changer and now she can’t wait until we do the full rear organization system. We still have a few tweaks on packing I am sorting out.
