I like this roof rack for a number of reasons, first of all it ties into the exo cage. While I certainly get that exo cages have their disadvantages, on a full size rig I think they have more pros than cons. I like all the integrated ladders.
But mostly I like it because it sticks out over the hood. I use my roof rack for a number of things that range from moving couches, to mounting Thule pods, to hauling 4x8 sheets of plywood from Lowes. Because I use it for all these different things I built my roofrack completely flat without any lights or siding. I think if I were to extend it forward over the hood I could add lights and sides on part of it. Anyway enjoy-
