This morning I walked past an FJ cruiser in my parking lot...i’ve walked past it a lot lately and know it well; chrome rims, stock tires, running boards, etc. This FJ cruiser was the type that loved the retro look but couldn’t stomach a new beetle, I kinda mocked this poor guy and his “lifestyle” version of a great platform whenever I walked by, today however it was different. New AT tires that had mud on them...MUD! I was so proud. This and the 2 different vehicle I saw this morning sporting Tepui tents on their roofs while commuting in made me think about this article I wrote a while back about off roading. Is 4x4 and off roading really making a comeback? or is this just confirmation bias?
