The Toyota 1-Ton pickup. 2510 payload. 2510! Thats a lot for 115 hp and a truck that couldn’t have weighed even 3000 lbs. I like seeing stuff like this because it reminds me that we’ve gotten soft in what we think is necessary for a truck to be. Granted, I wouldn’t haul anything more than a couple of matresses on the freeway here in Utah with a truck like that now, but back in the late 80’s early 90’s it was sufficient. This was also the foundation of the Toyota campers. A 6 bolt lug pattern on a truck with a 2.4 liter I4... (2.7 liter v6 came along in ‘92)
I really dig this underpowered, over tough stuff...I think its interesting.
