Today was CruiserFest, and unlike years past where there were epic trail rides across the state, a multi-day outdoor event and cost this year was a single day and free. Because of certain issues with, um, not owning it anymore, the land cruiser heritage museum and Cruiser fest was relocated from Miller Motorsports Park to its new home in Salt Lake.
The Museum, the brain-child of Greg Miller is stuffed with many of his personal Cruisers, include most of the Expeditions 7 set that put a tire on each of the 7 continents as well as interesting international models, and unique builds and models. The festivities started at 9 with breakfast but I was in the mountain in the morning and so I wasn’t there but I’ll get to that later. My small part in CruiserFest only lasted about an hour, and I wish I had more time to really meet people but it just didn’t work out that way this time.
There will be 2 sets of pictures presented here. The first set will be the functional set but the 2nd is where its at.
so, without further adieu.
oooh and what did I just find?
What my cruiser looked like brand spanking new (and this one almost was, at 57,000 miles). Look at those creamy leather seats!! It had the locker option too...shame to see it consigned to a museum, but its nice to see.
And is that a...HOLY CRAP IT IS!
And now, as promised, the much more interesting pictures proudly modeled by my 5 year old. She’s a major ham that wants to be a “radio singer” and really likes daddy daughter time. I’m a lucky guy.
So many cruisers!
Oh, and something for the LaLD guys
Oh, as for the reason I couldn’t spend more time there. I can’t complain.
