- Find boat for the cost of renting a boat for a week, figure about 2-3 grand
- me and buddies fix it up mechanically
- spend a week or more going from the north to south or south to north of Lake Powell
- Sell boat
All in probably about $2000-3000 worst case (gas+food+repairs - selling the boat back). Figure $500-750 a person. Seems like a fun way to spend a week for cheap.
Its about 100 miles between fuel marinas and there is more coastline than the US pacific coast to keep us busy, and they are all amazing canyons.

At 15 knots or so we could easily cover the distance and see some neat stuff.
