IFS. Do it flex?

It do.

First, I am THRILLED that someone is taking the scientific and repeatable approach to RTI on the tubes, and I’m stoked its Dan. Dude knows his stuff. This was a really interesting video, I knew the 200 series flexed well in the rear but...well check out that thumbnail! Can you see how stuffed that front wheel is? That’s better than I ever get with the 80. That LX570 is a damned monstrosity in “sport” form (how the hell does “sport” belong on this chassis at all). I’m really disappointed to see it couldn’t do it in normal height because there is a debate about whether cross-linked AHC or standard suspension plus KDSS flexes better. In this context its KDSS, but in high mode, there is a lot less flex available.

I’m going to spoil it for you a little and tell you a stock 200 series (heritage edition doesn’t make a difference) did 661 on the ramp, which beats a Gladiator Rubicon with the sway bar disconnected by over 50 points, and it’s only about 30 points down on a JLU rubicon with the front disconnected.

It’s a very impressive result. I’ve never been a big 100 series fan, but I could see myself owning a 200 one day.  I mean, if I’m going to get 13 mpg I might as well have some power to go with it.
