I think sometime in the future, we’re going to have autonomous car races. We’ve already had the Darpa Grand Challenge, and automakers are working hard on autonomous technology for consumer consumption. I feel like the time is now ripe for something like an autonomous vehicle class for Dakar. While Dakar is about the human drama, and some of that will be lost with the autonomous class, just being able to see the interesting tech solutions would make up for it. Thoughts?
