A quick wrap of adventure stuff from Down Under.

All 4 Adventure are on the road again to film Series 8. Looks like Simon is back in the 70 series (yay!) and both trucks got new wrap and a heap of new kit including Mickey T tyres, (after reverting back to BFG’s for the un-sponsored Unleashed, make of that what you will...). Looks like Patriot Campers is stepping up as a big sponsor, not surprising considering the camper market is burgeoning and super competitive in Oz.

As well as (been there since the beginning) EFS suspension.

(I like what he says about prioritising ride comfort, a quality so often overlooked in all sorts of suspension these days)

Gonna be a while till this hit’s the screens, but in the meantime Unleashed is proving quite a watch!

As I have said before these guys push it like no-one else. Of course it’s a show at the end of the day, but the environments they operate in are as full on as you can get and the dangers and pushing of the equipment is totally real and way beyond anything I have seen from anyone else.

However of most interest is that they were last seen in Perth, WA.

Which just happens to be one R.Dahl’s backyard.

Now there has been many calls over the last little while, about Australia’s two favourite 4wd Adventure shows to do something together. Should we read into this? Nice idea, but unlikely I think... However it would be good if they could maybe do as quick cameo for each other, Jase pulling Ronny out for A4A channel and vice versa for RD channel. All of these guys take what they do seriously, but do not take themselves too seriously.

Ronny is also looking to grow what he does. If you want an insight into how he does the videos, plus run a worked 70, etc, etc.

This might not mean much to anyone outside of Oz, but if you have ever driven from Adelaide to Darwin, you have stopped (or you should have stopped) at the Daly Waters Pub. I first came here back-packing through Oz and other countries in ‘99. (which as it turns out was only a few years after the current owners took it on) The whole ‘leaving your mark’ thing had been in full swing for many years by then, I remember being most impressed that there was a picture of a Lotus Esprit, that at some point had been parked outside, and that that was a brave choice of vehicle to explore Australia with...

Anyway, I’ve been back a few times since. Even at a cool 4 large. Worth every penny.

This is out, but maybe not as good as it had been getting recently...

Then wait. What? This isn’t Australia...

Truth, but I have not, not been enjoying these videos. All that green and mud, so different...
