Wait, what! Where is HammerheadFistpunch? Fear not, it was a bloodless coup... Not really, I’ll just be helping him out with these monthly wraps over the coming months.
So what is overland.kinja.com? Now in it’s third year, it was started by a fellow who then went by the name of MrTheEngineer. He graciously handed over the reins last year to the guy who has been the curator and main driving force behind the site, for the last few years.
At heart we are still a 4x4 touring and exploration blog. However the last year or so we have featured more varied outdoors related content, hiking, mountain biking, travel destinations, camping gear, knives, dirt based motorsports, posts on new 4x4's, posts on old 4x4's, ok it’s mostly older 4x4's round these parts... Anyway the variety and quality continues to be top notch. Authors generally have to hang around here a bit first, to understand the vibe of what it’s about.
So if that sounds like your thing? Welcome, leave your muddy boots on the porch, and come on in and stay awhile.

Unsurprisingly, being the middle of winter in the US, and the middle of summer in Australia. Meant there wasn’t too much journeying this month. A few of us did get out and about though.
