*Well, not really. It’s running again but no better than before. Still pig rich, lifter is still knocking away, but the fella who’s doing the brakes can sort that out.
So, what kept it from running?
A myriad of things. We replaced the coil and the plugs, which may have been the initial problem. Then dumped some fresh gas (87 octane- I’m sure the 10.25:1 454 is thrilled, but it’s all we had) and it sputtered briefly.
Finally, we checked the little electrical connections (for ignition) to the coil on the side of the cap.
