K-Roll is a great friend and an even better person

As I type this, I am stranded in my 1998 Mustang an hour from metro Detroit after struggling with mechanical issues. I needed rescuing and K-Roll is so amazing that without a thought he jumped in his car and is on his way to me at two in the morning. Oppos are the best people, I don’t even know how to repay that kind of selflessness

You can see the open hose attachment point on the lower mid-right of the image below the throttle cable. This was blasting hot exhaust gas straight up into the engine bay.

The mustang had some sort of issue with its EGR system that resulted in a high temp rubber hose disappearing that should connect the EGR to a control sensor. The hose missing created an exhaust leak which led to a running rich condition and worse, melted said control sensor. I couldn’t get the car to do more than 20 and I was worried about a fire starting so the car has been left at a local mechanic in the town I broke down in. Hopefully they can get it back on the road in a reasonable amount of time.
