I contacted the guy about the yellow 5th Gen Vfr800. Still for sale, and the ad has been up for eight days. Here’s what I got when I asked about the last valve adjustment.
So it’s pretty, but hasn’t been used much... Which worries me. This feels like a bike that should definitely be checked out in person prior to purchase. It’s a 3.5 hour drive away, and I have a friend who is willing to take me down there, but if any locals want to go down and confirm that it’s not a steaming pile....
Either way, I don’t really want to pay $3500 for it.
Then there’s this sixth Gen. I feel like I *should* be buying this one. Price just dropped from $4500 to $3300. Seems like an absolute steal for an 07 in what looks like fantastic shape, especially with matching hardcases. Best part? It’s in Kirkland, a few miles away from me...
But it's not yellow. And while sexy, it doesn't hit me like the 5th Gen does.
