Jag is dangerously close to reassembly

I was working on the Jag yesterday and realized that I can actually start putting things back together, which is alarming. I’ve been slowly chipping away at the TODO list but installing the uprated supercharger pulley yesterday was the tipping point. After that I, mostly, will be putting stuff back on, rather than taking it off.

(The “mostly” is because I have to un-mount some stuff to do the spark plugs.)

As such yesterday I put both belts back on, which makes it look dangerously close to looking like a car again.

Next up is to put the cooling fan back in, followed by reassembling the cooling system. Then I should be able to put the induction system back together, at which point the car will be a car again. At some point I also need to do the spark plugs and brake fluid, but those items aren’t technically required to get the car going again, though I’ll do them while it is up in the air.

I bet if I really wanted to a weekend’s wrenching would knock it out. As is I expect it’ll be another two weeks.

During this process I did make an interesting discovery: The Jag does not have two water pumps. It has three. Main, auxiliary, and supercharger. I think the auxiliary is in charge of the heater?

Anyway... excited to get the big cat back on the road and see if my improvements made any difference in the way it drives. (I’m not holding my breath.)
