A drive, a wrench, a Svend.

Best weather of the year here in RI today. Just kissed 70 with no rain until later tonight. So, that’s a Miata day. First up, circumnavigating Narragansett Bay as I’m wont to do occasionally.

Took it pretty easy, top down, first cigar in months in hand because it’s a 99 and has an ash tray lol had to try it out and might do so again. It was the ultimate relaxation after everything going on. Up next, replace the blown tweeter I’ve been meaning to for months but it’s been too cold or I’ve been too unmotivated.

Really easy to get the door card off, but I’m an idiot (as usual) and cracked the top of it because I tried to remove the thing with one screw left over. Ugh. At least it’s the Miata and not the Cayman lol NBD.

In my quest to acquire helpful tools I recently got a trim removal kit that made this easy. The Cayman requires a lot of trim removal for engine-type work which I’ll be getting into soon. Anyway, of course after weeks of top down driving and a cigar it was time to do a quick interior detail. Got all the dust off the dash, vacuumed everything I could see, beat the mats, then cleaned/treated the vinyl and leather. Finally I used some dawn and water to “shampoo” the seats lightly.

Finally onto a quick Svending. Not too much though since I did a full wash and wax 2 weeks ago. Just a standard wash and window cleaning. will likely have to redo interior windows though.
