It is going to be a hard day. My client is eliminating the department the employees work in as part of a restructuring to make the company profitable. The workers knew it was headed that way, so they ran to a union - but they can’t save these jobs.
The client is prepared to open the books and be transparent, and we will give the union a chance to Dave them. But I have seen the numbers, and I doubt they can do it. The company is willing to offer them jobs on the manufacturing side of the business, but these are delivery drivers who won’t be happy with that. I get to be the bad guy once again. This is why this job is difficult.
