We had dinner at a steak house last night, which was nice. I am very fortunate, and we have weathered the pandemic pretty well.  I haven't had to lay anyone off, and business has been ok.  But I have found myself a bit stressed and blue, so I can only imagine what it is like for those who are sick and/or struggling financially.  Going out lifted my spirits more than I expected, I guess because it felt like normalcy.  The waitress told me the staff was thrilled to be open and working again, which was nice.  We went to the mall in Denton before we left, and bought a cord at a cell phone accessories store owned by a man who had emigrated here from India.  He told us he was really worried, that he had a pretty good business before, but he hadn't paid rent in two months and he needed things to turn quickly. These are hard times in many ways for many people. I hope you are all weathering the storm and that better days are ahead.  Take care of your mental health.  Your brain is not always an ally.
