We need more cars named after dogs.

I realized something a while ago. If you look for cars named after cats, there is no short supply. There’s the Sunbeam Tiger, Mercury Cougar, De Tomaso Pantera, Reliant Kitten, Jaguar... The list goes on and on. But if you look for cars named after dogs, the list is a whole lot smaller. There’s the AC Greyhound:

And, of course, the Mitsubishi Flying Pug:

But as far as I can tell, there’s not much else, unless you count trucks and buses, in which case there’s also Bulldog and another Greyhound. Which is a shame, because there are loads of great dog types out there that would make fantastic car names. Whippet would be a great name for a small, Miata-like sports car, Collie could work for a family wagon, Spaniel would make a nice name for a GT car, Rottweiler or Doberman could easily be names for muscle cars, Vizsla would be a good name for a supercar or something like a TVR, and Schnauzer could work for... something. Those names would at least be better than another string of random letters and numbers, right?
