There's a new world record for fastest production car again.

Last Saturday, the North American SSC Tuatara became the new world record holder for fastest production car, reaching an average speed of 316 mph over two runs in both directions down a seven-mile stretch of highway outside of Las Vegas. Considering that it costs 1.9 million dollars and they’re only building 100 of them, I know some of you probably won’t care a whole lot about this, but look at it this way: Whenever somebody starts talking about Bugatti, you can once again tell them that they no longer make the world’s fastest cars.  Also, I think it’s worth mentioning that this thing is a heckuva lot prettier than a Bugatti, and only weighs 2,750 lbs, so it’s not a fat pig of a supercar like the Bugatti. Even though it’s kinda pointless, I just like that it exists.
