As the father of an adopted daughter, this made me tear up at my desk. This is amazing. That day is one of the most emotional days you’ll ever ride through, I can’t imagine how amazing it was to have that audience. This judge deserves a gold star.
Story Time: On our closing day, we were in a courtroom with a few knuckleheads in for traffic, dui, etc... The judge asked us if we would mind waiting so he could end his day on a high note. He proceeded to go through each of the knuckleheads, took about 40 minutes, but he wouldn’t let any of them leave the courtroom. He then started in on our process and when he was done, addressed the others and said, “I hope you all were taking notes, this is what you should be in here for.”
