Well, it seems I could only squeeze 80k miles out of the rear main seal. To Chrysler’s credit, they’ve only been making this engine for thirty years, so they may need some more time to figure out how to make a proper seal. On a positive note, the pilot bearing also seems to have a similar lifespan, so I’ll only have to pull the transmission once every 80k miles! My wife has a 120k mile BMW that is leak free. Way to go Chrysler! It’s currently 97F, so I better swap these puppies out sooner rather than later.
