The end of an era

Bentley has just built their last L Series engine. The iconic Rolls Royce designed 6.75L (and previously 6.25L) mill has been in service since 1959, and served in every Rolls & Bentley model till their respective takeovers by Ze Germans, as well as being available for a while in a marine version. They claim it’s had the longest production run of any car engine in history.

That’s the last vestige of Rolls/Bentley as an independent car company gone (sobs).
