OK so let me get this straight…and perhaps indulge myself by participating in some (reverse?) whataboutism –

Barack Obama wears a tan suit, or Michelle wears a sleeveless dress and Fox News (+ collective MAGAverse) goes nuts.

Melanie* Trump while travelling to witness the conditions of a highly politically charged situation where children are being held captive by the government wears a jacket that says “I DON’T REALLY CARE. DO U?” in huge letters. An event where video footage shows her seemingly very interested and impressed by the treatment of the children - aww look at how much she cares, you guys!

When asked what the deal with the jacket was, her spokesperson releases a statement saying the jacket was not trying to send a hidden message and that the media should just let it go (certainly not hidden, you’re right, lady!).

However, shortly thereafter her ever loving husband tweets saying “I REALLY DON’T CARE, DO U?” written on the back of Melania’s jacket, refers to the Fake News Media. Melania has learned how dishonest they are, and she truly no longer cares!”

Come on guys, if you learnt any lesson this week it should at least have been to GET YOUR STORY STRAIGHT (at least, if not DON’T SNATCH BABIES).
