This Metro ‘vert has been sitting at a seasonal residence a few doors down from me for as long as I’ve lived here. The owners are only there three weeks a year usually and the car has never moved. In fact, it was last inspected in 2004. It’s always been covered but the cover failed this winter to reveal that it’s in surprisingly good shape for a car that’s been stored outdoors for this long. The paint is still glossy and the top fabric seems to be intact.
My first car was a Metro so I have a soft spot for these.
