SO - lately my main desktop PC decides to run its antivirus scan (Windows Defender) when I start using it in the morning, or sometimes after I have been using it for an hour or so. The thing is, it is on 24/7 and can run scans during the evening or one of the other ~12 hours I’m not using it. Why does it decide to scan right after I start using it? It’s a pretty fast machine (SSD, i7, 16GB RAM) but it’s unusable during the scan.
Is there a way to disable scans while the computer is being used, or to schedule them for the early morning or something?
